Partnership Education Presentations - About Mental Health

Provided by Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) - Shuswap/Revelstoke Branch

An effective educational tool for students, for people employed in mental health, or for those who work daily with the public.
The Partnership Education program is based on a personal storytelling model. Being able to listen to and talk with people who have real personal experiences helps others in the community to understand the nature and prevalence of chronic and severe mental illness.

The Partnership Education presentations include a panel of three guest speakers – a person with a psychiatric diagnosis, a family member, and a mental health professional. The three guests are presented as a team and each describes their own personal experience with mental illness.

Looking for a different type of presentation? This program can create tailored mental health workshops and presentations for your community or organization. Also offer public education sessions for schools, colleges, Indigenous communities, community agencies, and local businesses.
