Participant Liaison Advisory Council - For People Who have Lived Experience with Mental Illness

The purpose of the Participant Liaison is to assist in the development of a voice of participants who use the Clubhouse and the IHA Mental Health & Substance Use Services. An opportunity to provide feedback to the mental health system.
Program is an initiative for people who have lived experience with mental illness to provide feedback to the mental health system. The volunteer coordinator in this position will provide information, resources and supports for fellow participants.

This program's first goal is to develop and maintain a network of mental health service users in our area. We want to stay connected so that you have a voice in the enhancement and evaluation of an integrated and coordinated mental health system.

The Participant Liaison is the chairperson for the Participant Advisory Council. The Participant Advisory Council meets four times a year with a two-fold purpose:
  • To facilitate communication between participants and staff in the Clubhouse program
  • To develop a standards council/code of ethics for the CMHA Shuswap – Revelstoke Branch
